He brought with him a lot of promise when he entered the league two years ago when Sta. Lucia Realty tabbed him in the first round. But Cabagnot has yet to prove why he is being regarded as the future point guard of the PBA.
The 24-year old former University of Hawaii-Hilo standout was part of the multi-player deal that involved SLR and Coke, making the Tigers his second team in just his third season in the pros. All in all, he played 45 games last season, 12 with Coke, and averaged 10.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists (No. 3 in the league) and 1.3 steals (No. 6) per game last season. A more focused Cabagnot will give the Tigers a fighting chance in the coming season.
