He found a job with Ginebra when Jayjay Helterbrand was loaned to the national team last season. And the Ozamiz City speedster did a decent job quarterbacking the team, probably the reason why the Tigers opened a spot for him in the team.
Echaves, who also previously played with Purefoods, played for 20 games for the Kings in the Fiesta Conference and started 11 times. He posted decent numbers, 5.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in under 20 minutes a game of exposure. At Coca-Cola, the 28-year old southpaw is expected to be the chief reliever of starting guard Alex Cabagnot.
